Short & sweet little projects.
Over the past few years I’ve worked on a handful of projects that all had two things in common: first, they were quick and second, they have all included some sort of illustration work. I’ll dive into a few!
Park City bach hats.
A wonderful friend of mine got married this summer. She celebrated with a bachelorette party in Park City, Utah. With the new last name of Fox, we’d thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to incorporate two foxes, representing her and her husband, the Wasatch Mountains of Park City, and a few other rustic details. This hat was be the perfect keepsake and subtle reminder of such a rad girl’s trip!
Right Brain Surfboards.
A client reached out in hopes of creating a unique anniversary gift for her husband. Fruit or flowers are traditionally given when celebrating your fourth anniversary. She wanted to give her husband flowers, but in a more creative way.
He has been shaping surfboards casually for friends lately and calls his "surf shop" Right Brain Surfboards. I thought it would be fun to create a logo and make some swag for him to wear while he is shaping.
I’m always a fan of creative gifts so this was a fun one.
Invitations inspired by home.
My partner Drew and I moved to New Zealand early 2023 and lived there for one year exploring, working, and overall having some pretty epic adventures. Before we kicked off our lifestyle shift with some hard goodbyes in Colorado, we had an incredible going away party for ourselves.
I created a little invite to send virtually to friends and family. I wanted it to be simple, easy to read, and remind us of home. That’s where the columbines came in! The Colorado blue columbine is the state flower of the place we called home for many years. Illustrating these florals was both rewarding and nostalgic.
Family merch.
A client reached out in hopes of creating a unique keepsake for a family reunion and birthday celebration.
Long story short, my Aunt Sheila just turned 80 years old. To celebrate, the whole family is taking a trip to The Resort at Paws Up in Missoula. As a little token for the family, I want to make some custom Nalgene water bottles.
He wanted to include mountains, a river, a reference to Paws Up, and most importantly, “some corny tag line.”
